Blood Grouping Reagent Test Kit by GoldHealth Medical

GoldHealth Medical proudly presents a cutting-edge diagnostic solution for blood grouping, designed to deliver unparalleled accuracy and reliability. Our Blood Grouping Reagent Test Kit is engineered for qualitative detection of ABO blood group antigens on human red blood cells using the immunoagglutination method. Trusted by healthcare professionals worldwide, this diagnostic kit supports both rapid slide tests and modified tube tests.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Advanced Monoclonal Antibodies: Utilizes highly specific mouse monoclonal IgM antibodies (Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-AB) produced through advanced in-vitro techniques. These antibodies are derived from individual cell lines, ensuring consistent chemical structure and exceptional specificity.
  • Rho (D) Antigen Detection: Includes Anti-D (Rho) monoclonal IgM for detecting the Rho antigen, present in approximately 95% of the population.
  • High Accuracy and Rapid Results: Achieves macroscopic agglutination with an average avidity of <10 seconds using whole blood. Titres of 1:512 for Anti-A and Anti-B, and 1:256 for Anti-D (IgG+IgM) ensure reliable outcomes.
  • Ready-to-Use Format: Designed for convenience, the reagents are supplied in liquid form and require no additional preparation.
  • Extended Stability: Unopened vials remain stable at 2-8°C until expiry, while opened vials maintain stability for up to one month under the same conditions.

Applications

  • Blood Typing: Identifies ABO and Rh blood group antigens with precision.
  • Clinical Diagnostics: Supports hospitals, clinics, and laboratories in accurate blood compatibility testing.
  • Research and Development: Ideal for academic and industrial research applications.

Procedure

Slide Test

  1. Place one drop each of Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-D, and Anti-AB reagents on a clean, dry slide.
  2. Add one drop of whole blood to each reagent and mix thoroughly with an applicator stick.
  3. Gently rock the slide back and forth.
  4. Observe for agglutination macroscopically within 2 minutes.

Tube Test

  1. Prepare a 5% suspension of red blood cells in isotonic saline.
  2. Add one drop of each reagent (Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-D, Anti-AB) into labeled tubes.
  3. Add one drop of cell suspension to each tube and mix well.
  4. Centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1000 RPM or incubate at room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
  5. Gently dislodge the cell button and observe for agglutination.

Interpretation of Results

  • Agglutination: Indicates the presence of corresponding antigens (A, B, AB, or Rho).
  • No Agglutination: Indicates the absence of corresponding antigens.

Agglutination Patterns

  • Anti-A (+), Anti-B (–), Anti-AB (+): Blood Group A
  • Anti-A (–), Anti-B (+), Anti-AB (+): Blood Group B
  • Anti-A (+), Anti-B (+), Anti-AB (+): Blood Group AB
  • Anti-A (–), Anti-B (–), Anti-AB (–): Blood Group O
