Application Procedure

1. Apply protective padding or stockinet to the area requiring fixation.
2. Wear surgical gloves and select the appropriate roll size.
3. Immerse the roll in room temperature water (21-24°C) for 4-6 seconds and squeeze it 2-3 times firmly.
4. Wrap spirally, overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds of the roll’s width. Maintain proper tension to avoid excessive tightness.
5. Smooth and rub the surface to ensure good contact between layers. This helps in achieving a well-molded wrap.
6. Allow approximately 10 minutes for sufficient setting and ensure the patient remains still during this time. It can bear weight after 20 minutes.
7. The cast can be windowed, trimmed, or removed using traditional cast saw equipment.
